Pyrolox is a naturally mined ore containing manganese dioxide used to remove iron, manganese and hydrogen sulfide. Pyrolox granular medium acts as a catalyst that oxidizes iron, manganese and hydrogen sulfide as soon as they come into contact with the medium. And in some cases, additional pre-treatment with air, chlorine or potassium permanganate is recommended.
